It’s Good Friday! We made it through Maundy Thursday and have the wonderful news already that the tomb is empty so come Sunday we can celebrate with Joy in our hearts. The weather looks like it is shaping up and we are in for a beautiful Easter Weekend.
I just so want to rejoice in Good Friday but I also want to let you know that today is National No Housework Day… Honestly, I celebrate this day probably 6 out of the 7 days a week and it is National Coffee Cake Day! I know I have said it before but I have a secret Coffee Cake recipe that has been passed down for four generations now. It is hard for me to give up the recipe when people ask, just the other day I came across a letter that I had going with a dear friend that has since passed away that begged me for the recipe. I finally broke down and sent her a letter that had stipulations to “earn” the recipe… For every fresh Walleye and Pheasant her husband sent our way, I’d give her a piece of the recipe… I remember laughing so hard!!! We got a Walleye and she got the word BUTTER… Yep, this went on for a little over two years and she finally got the entire recipe. She was so joyful and we had so many fun memories over this feat she had accomplished. I don’t know for sure but I am sure that when her kids were going through her things in the end they must of thought… What the heck is this SUPER SECRET WONDERFUL COFFEE CAKE…
May the love of Jesus fill your heart with heavenly bliss and holy desires for now and forever. Wishing you a Holy Good Friday my friends.
