As I was reading a report of a sentencing in Redwood County Court All I could think about is today’s criminals sure never really got the concept of Robin Hood. You know, steal from the rich and give to the poor with nothing but good intentions in your heart… Ayden Wallace Parker a 19-year-old male from Walnut Grove, was sentenced last week for repeatedly stealing cars and filling them with stolen gas from gas stations. According to court documents, on August 10th 2021, The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office received a call about someone who did a drive off at the convenience store in Walnut Grove. Investigation showed from security camera footage from the Convenience Store, that the driver of a dark-colored Chevy Pickup had stolen $77.64 worth of gas and the pickup valued at $9,000 had been reported stolen out of Madelia. After sending out an appeal to the public a member of the community identified the thief as Parker. On August 15th the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office learned that Parker was in custody in the Lyon County Jail for another crime and got their guy.
