The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported on the 19th, a deputy at 3:43am responded to a report of someone trying to break into an apartment in Jackson.  The caller reported he first heard someone trying to open the door and then open windows to his apartment.  The person then began banging on the doors and windows loudly.  The deputy located the male who was very intoxicated.  He had been consuming alcohol with the resident of the apartment and was now looking for his keys which he thought he left inside the apartment.  After more searching, he found the keys inside his coat pocket.  At 7:39 am Deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle coming into Jackson that was reported to be all over the road.  A deputy located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in Jackson.  After investigating, the 20 year old driver from Jackson was arrested for probable cause DUI.

The Windom Police Department reported a non-injury accident on Hwy 60 and Dollar General on the 17th and two non-injury accidents on the 18th one in the HyVee Parking Lot and one in the 1000 block of Redding Ave.  On the 19th, Officers were called to Speedway Gas Station to take a report of Unlawful Deposit of Garbage.  After investigation, the owner of the garbage was talked to and was advised to pick up the garbage or the business will pursue charges.  Owner stated they will pick up the garbage and was advised on how the process works for depositing garbage properly.

BINGO at BARC TONIGHT!!!! The Windom Women of Today, will be hosting BINGO tonight in the West Gym at BARC. Doors open at 6pm and play begins at 6:30pm.  Cash only is accepted. The Murray and Pipestone County Cattlemen Associations were selected to host the 2023 Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association Summer Beef Tour and Trade Show July 17th and 18th.
