Mountain Lake Police Department reported they had 10 calls from February 13th to the 19th. An officer charged a 16 year old juvenile with domestic assault, checked on a suspicious vehicle parked near a business, assisted three separate motorists with vehicle troubles, Assisted the MN State Patrol with a traffic stop. Officers also assisted another agency with a Juvenile Offender who was sent to detention, cited a driver for Driving after Cancellation and cited another driver for Driving after Suspension. Officer also handled a minor accident between semis in the Milk Specialties parking lot where the two semi-trailers clipped each other.

Want to hone up on your driving skills AND save some money? 55+ Defensive Driver Training course is coming up on March 6th. Call Community Education at 507-831-6910 ext. 513 to register and reserve your spot! You can sign up for a four or eight hour class. Participants will receive a certificate after attending all portions of the class they registered for. Anyone that is 55 or older is eligible for an insurance discount. The instructor will be Kathy Pederson. Classes will be held at the Highland Building located at 68 10th Street in Windom.
