We are switching quickly from one season to another… I am not talking Fall to Winter but to SNOW Season. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office sent a message out that we are now celebrating National Forget How to Drive In the Snow Day! According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office this is a rotating Holiday and they are feeling it started a little bit early this year. The Sheriff’s Department stated they have spent a lot of their day responding to crashes and handing out citations to those who think it is still summer. To help everyone out the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department wanted to give some wintery snow driving tips.
Remember to Slow down, double your following distance. Give yourself extra time to slow down, intersections get extra icy. 4×4 doesn’t mean anything on ice, you’re no better off than a Miata. USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS!!! Clear your windows prior to leaving and Allow extra time for your commute
Take care of yourselves and others and lets slow the rate of accidents on the revolving National Forget How to Drive In the Snow Day!
