Mountain Lake Police Department had 12 incidents to report from last week. On the 15th assisted a homeowner locked out of their house, a locksmith was called. On the 17th officers handled an ordinance violation and a citizen complaint that after investigation was unfounded. On the 19th, an officer assisted a motorist at the intersection of Highway 60 and County Road 27. An Officer made a warrant arrest and assisted MN State Patrol with a driving complaint of a red buick car heading east from Windom on Highway 60 towards Mt Lake and at 10:38pm officers responded to a possible domestic assault. Charges are pending. On the 20th an Officer responded to a burglary alarm that turned out to be a false call, the employee entered a wrong code. On the 21st Officers delt with four different vehicle calls. Two citations were issued for move over Ted Foss Law Violations, one for an assist of a motorist for a disabled vehicle, and one driver was cited for Driving after revocation and an expired registration.

The Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners met yesterday for a work session. The Board reviewed 2023 proposed budgets and the Representatives from TC Energy and a Representative from Hill Capital Strategies met with the board to give a presentation on pipeline infrastructure in Minnesota.
The Ditch Authority Board also approved to accept the Engineers Report for the repair of CD#35 as presented and set the public hearing for Tuesday, September 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood County Courthouse.

The Jackson County Fire Department is having a Firemen’s Dance Fundraiser this weekend on Saturday August 27th. This fun night will carry on Rain or Shine at the Jackson County Fair Grounds Beer Garden from 8-Midnight. Gates open at 7pm, come enjoy yard games prior to the Jeremy DeWall Band taking the stage at 8. All proceeds from this fundraiser is the Jackson Fire and Relief association to help fund the first Ladder Truck for the City and County of Jackson.
