On April 8th at 2:48am, a Windom Police Officer on patrol noticed a suspicious person on a bicycle on Hwy 60 by Runnings. Once the Officer stopped the male party, the male suspect took off running on foot and the Officer gave chase without locating. The male is known to the Officer and the report will be forwarded to Co. Att. for their review.
On April 7 th Windom Police Department reported officers took a report from a Windom Male resident in reference to a possible harassment restraining order violation. The reporting party was advised of his options.
Officers also handled an accident in the HyLife parking lot. Minor bumper damage and no injuries were reported.

The board took action to select the top two candidates and have entered into negotiations with them in hopes of filling the administrator position. Start date will depend on negotiations. Further updates will be available after this week’s meeting.

An Easter Egg Hunt that is open to all ages will be held Saturday April 16th at 9:30am in the Jeffers City Park, in Jeffers. There will be donuts and juice served and the Easter Bunny will be available to take pictures.

4-H Project Day Spotlight will be held on Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. – 12 pm at the Windom Middle/High School (enter through the east doors).
Registration will be 15 minutes prior to the first session you’re attending. Youth can select three project sessions they would like to participate in. The sessions are FREE for Cottonwood County youth, thanks to funding from the United Drive! Registration for youth from other counties is $5. Most classes have limited capacity, so please make sure to register early!
This event is open to all youth (4-H and non-4-H) so bring a friend! Non-4-H youth will need to complete a health and liability form prior to attending (parental signature required). Please call 831-4022 or email deter086@umn.edu to register. Please RSVP by April 15 so there are enough supplies.
