Windom Police Department reported a Hit and Run Accident yesterday at 4:47pm in the 900 block of 4th Ave. A driver of a 2012 Ford Explorer was traveling south on 4th Ave in the 900 block. The driver did not see another vehicle that was backing up from a parked position and the two vehicles collided. The second vehicle did not stop nor exchange information. The Explorer sustained minor damage to the front passenger fender.

Illness has been the cause for rescheduling Private Pesticide Applicator Workshops in the Southwest Region. New dates for Marshall will be February 18th from 12:30-4pm with check-in at Noon in the Merit Center in Marshall. Anyone that pre-registered for the original date will be automatically registered for this new date. Pre-registrants should be receiving an e-mail with further information. The new date for Fairmont will be February 16th from Noon to 3:30 with check in starting at 11:30am at the Knights of Columbus in Fairmont. No one Fights alone and on Friday Night, February 11th, you can join Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey Girls and Boys Basketball as they combine their efforts to raise money and awareness during their Cancer Night. It’s a double header against Southwest Christian and so much more!
Mountain Lake Fire Department will be hosting a Meal from 5-7:30pm in the Mt Lake Public School Flex Area. There will be sub sandwiches, chips, cookies and beverage. You can even come and grab a meal to go. There will be a freewill donation with funds going to support Donna Peterson, a retired teacher and community member.
There will also be Wall of Hope Decals for sale, A silent raffle (which you don’t have to be present to win) BINGO and Lightening Games for prizes at the half-time of girls and boys games. 100% of the funds raised support our local American Cancer Society Relay For Life and The Society’s Lifesaving Programs. Wear Pink to support the cause and come out and support the Wolverines.
