Windom Police Department received a driving complaint of a white vehicle headed westbound on Highway 60 from Butterfield. The Vehicle was traveling a high rate of speed. The vehicle was clocked at traveling at 86 miles per hour and stopped near the Vet Clinic on Highway 60. Upon investigation Charges are pending on a 40-year-old Hills Minnesota Male for Fifth Degree Drug Possession, Possession of Paraphernalia and Small amount of Marijuana. This case is pending review by the County Attorney’s Office.

The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol in the early morning hours of December 18th on DUI Case. A 43-year-old male from Westbrook was arrested on Highway 30 & County Road 4 in Jeffers.

Moorhead City Police shortly before 8pm on Saturday, December 18th, found Seven Relatives- Four Adults and three children dead in their home located at 4403 13th Street South in Moorhead. Moorhead police said in a statement on Monday December 20th that a preliminary autopsy has ruled out any obvious trauma as the cause of death, however, the blood samples from the victims have been transported to a lab for further investigatory examination and there is no timeline on those results.
All of the victims were taken to Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office in St Paul to determine cause of death. According to dispatch reports- The Moorhead Fire Department was called for a carbon monoxide detector check at the home at 12:56 am Sunday- four hours after the bodies were discovered. Authorities said, the investigation is still active, and more information will be released at a later time.
