THE CITY OF WINDOM has issued a Snow Emergency starting at midnight Friday December 10th through Noon on Saturday December 11th. Check City Cite for Public Parking Lots open during Snow Emergency. NO vehicles may be parked on City streets nor non-designated parking areas during the snow emergency.

THE CITY OF MT LAKE is in a snow emergency, all vehicles will need to be off the road by midnight, otherwise they will be ticketed and/or towed.,

THE CITY OF FULDA will be plowing snow Saturday December 11th beginning at 5am. They require all vehicles to be removed from city streets to avoid a citation.

According to Minnesota 511 all roads are completely covered as of 2pm. A few accidents are being reported, including a jackknifed semi near the New Vision Mountain Lake elevator. Roads are passable, but visibility is very poor when a heavier band of snow hits. Traffic speeds are also reduced.
It is not recommended going anywhere, but if you have to travel, take your time and do it during the daylight. Pay close attention to what you’re doing, and slow down even more around any emergency vehicles, including tow trucks.

According to the National Weather Service Snow will continue fall through this evening. Cottonwood County is the BULLSEYE for the heaviest snow with up to a foot of snow expected to fall. Please contact your event prior to heading out to see if it is still being held. Be smart and be safe!
