Windom School Safety alert

The Windom School district placed its buildings in a “soft lockdown” Monday morning.

The Windom Police Department contacted school officials to report that a past graduate of the school district had a snapchat post flagged by the FBI.  The post, described as a vague threat, said “Don’t come to skool.”  The post did not single out any specific location or school building.  

The Windom Police Department and the FBI were making contact with the person who made the post.  The Windom school district took precautionary measures by securing the buildings in a soft lockdown, restricting all access through the main entrances.  More information will be provided when it becomes available.
