Red Rock Conference Cross-Country Meet

The Red Rock Conference will hold its Conference Cross-County Meet Monday at Mt Lake.  There will be two heats at 2:00pm and 5:00pm.   The results will be combined to determine team scores and individual placings.   

 

The first group at 2:00pm will include Mt Lake Area-Comfrey/Red Rock Central, Heron Lake-Okabena and Murray County Central/Fulda.    

 

The second group at 5:00pm will have Adrian-Ellsworth and SW MN Christian/Edgerton. 

 

At last year’s conference meet, Mt Lake Area-Comfrey/Red Rock Central won the Boys Team title, with Murray County Central/Fulda 2nd, Heron Lake-Okabena 3rd and SW MN Christian/Edgerton 4th.  Adrian and Ellsworth each had incomplete teams.   Maverick Beckmann of M-C-C/Fulda was the Boys individual champion.   

 

Murray County Central/Fulda won the Girls conference team title last year, with SW MN Christian/Edgerton 2nd, Mt Lake Area-Comfrey/Red Rock Central 3rd and Adrian 4th.  Heron Lake-Okabena had an incomplete squad. 

 

Morgan Gehl of M-C-C/Fulda was the Girls Individual Champion, finishing almost 2 minutes in front of the 2nd-place runner.  M-C-C-F took 6 of the top 8 places. 

 

The Big South Conference will be holding its Conference meet on Saturday, October 10th at Redwood Falls.  The meet will be run in four sections, with runners starting at 10:00am, Noon, 2:00pm and 4:00pm.   

 

A Section Cross-County meet will be held the following week.  The Section meet will tentatively be held on Thursday, October 15th in Luverne.
