Amateur Baseball Update – Sept 7

LOCAL SPORTS   —     state amateur baseball     

 

The Minnesota Class “C” State Amateur Baseball tournament continued this weekend. 

 

Games are being played at Riverside Park in Springfield and the Milroy Yankees field. 

 

Fri, Sept 4: 

     Cold Spring Rockies beat the Isanti Redbirds 2-1       in Milroy 

 

     Buffalo Bulldogs defeated the Foley Lumber Jacks  14-3     in Springfield 

 

Sat, Sept 5:   

    Fairmont Martins beat the Jordan Brewers  7-5      in Springfield 

 

    Bemidji Blue Ox defeated the Prior Lake Mudcats  8-1   in Milroy 

 

    Bird Island Bullfrogs nipped the Watkins Clippers  1-0     in Springfield 

 

     Young America Cardinals over the Union Hill Bulldogs  6-0   in Springfield 

 

     Bluffton Braves edged the Sartell Muskies  1-0    in Milroy 

 

     St. Patrick Irish beat the Carver Black Sox  16-4   in Milroy 

 

Sunday, Sept 6th –   Quarter-Finals:    

            Fairmont Martins beat the  Buffalo Bulldogs 5-1 at Springfield 

 

             Cold Spring Rockies defeated the Bemidji Blue Ox 10-1  at Springfield. 

 

             Young America Cardinals beat the Bird Island Bullfrogs 9-1 at Milroy 

 

             St. Patrick irish edged the Bluffton Braves 2-1 at Milroy 

 

 

        Semi-finals: 

                 Fairmont Martins defeated the Cold Spring Rockies  10-3  at Springfield 

 

                St. Patrick Irish beat the Young America Cardinals  6-4   at Milroy 

 

 

Monday, Sept 7th:  the Championship game will be played at 1:00pm on Labor Day in Springfield.
