THE WINDOM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY HOLDS A BOARD MEETING TODAY.   THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE ON THE COMMERCIAL REHAB PRORAM.  THE BOARD WILL HEAR AN UPDATE ON THE PHASE II EXPANSION OF THE NORTH WINDOM INDUSTRIAL PARK.   THE BOARD WILL GO INTO CLOSED SESSION TO CONDUCT LAND NEGOTIATIONS.  THIS REPORTEDLY INVOLVES THE PROPOSED CEMSTONE DEVELOPMENT.  THE BOARD WILL DISCUSS A POSSIBLE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT THE NORTH WINDOM INDUSTRIAL PARK.   THE BOARD WILL ALSO CONSIDER A LEASE WITH PRO-SHED FOR A SALES DISPLAY AT THE RIVER BEND CENTER.
A REGULAR MEETING OF THE WINDOM SCHOOL BOARD IS BEING HELD TODAY.   THERE WILL BE A PRESENTATION ON A FAMILY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.  THE BOARD WILL APPROVE THE CREATION OF A WINDOM HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI HALL OF FAME.  A BOARD MEMBER WILL BE APPOINTED TO THE HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE.  A DATE WILL BE SET FOR A SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING.  THE BOARD WILL DISCUSS SNOW DAYS AND POSSIBLE CHANGES TO THE CALENDAR.  STAFFING NEEDS FOR NEXT YEAR WILL BE REVIEWED.
A SPECIAL PUBLIC MEETING WILL BE HELD AT 6:00 TONIGHT AT THE MT LAKE COMMUNITY CENTER.  THIS WILL BE A JOINT MEETING OF THE MT LAKE CITY COUNCIL AND THE COTTONWOOD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.  THE FOCUS WILL BE ON TRAFFIC SAFETY ON HIGHWAY 60.  THERE WILL BE PRESENTATIONS BY THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL AND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.  COMMENTS WILL BE MADE BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE COUNTY BOARD.  MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WILL BE ABLE TO COMMENT, STARTING AT 7:00PM.    
MORE AMERICAN RED ROCK BLOOD DRIVES ARE BEING HELD IN THE AREA.   TODAY, A RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE WILL BE HELD ON THE CAMPUS OF THE MINNESOTA WEST COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE IN JACKSON, FROM 12:30 UNTIL 4:30.   ALSO TODAY, THERE WILL BE A BLOOD DRIVE AT THE EVANGELICAL COVENANT CHURCH IN TRIMONT FROM 12:30 UNTIL 6:30.   ALL BLOOD TYPES ARE NEEDED.  YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW IDENTIFICATION AT CHECK-IN. 
THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MET LAST WEEK.    THE BOARD ACCEPTED A STATE GRANT FOR NEW VOTING EQUIPMENT.  THEY HEARD THE MONTHLY UPDATE FROM THE C-E-O OF THE MURRAY COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER.  THE BOARD DISCUSSED A PROPOSED RE-ORGANIZATION OF THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE, INCLUDING THE POSSIBLE IMPACT ON THE COUNTY BUDGET.  THE COUNTY ENGINEER REVIEWED A 5-YEAR CONSTRUCTION PLAN FOR THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT.  A NEW AGREEMENT WAS APPROVED WITH THE PLUM CREEK LIBRARY SYSTEM.
